For the medium/heavy user, you have no option but to buy an unlimited download plan. Limited plans may be cheaper, but if you exceed your free usage threshold, you'll start paying for every MB used. If your ISP has a 'fair usage policy' structure in place, choose a plan which offers reduced speed after a certain amount of data usage, and not the ones which are charged per MB of use.
